Exposition concept
Belarus is a peaceful and calm country, and therefore, in preparation for the Biennale at the end of last year, Belarusian stage designers planned to create a fabulous theatrical pavilion "Scenogramma" - our theatrical message. We intended to convey the lightness and expressiveness of the modern scenography of our country. Present to the public fabulous play for children, performances parables which give rise to dreams.
However, the events of this year have made their own adjustments, both in everyday life and in our concept.
For all over the world, 2020 is the year of a pandemic. For Belarus, this is also a year of a difficult political situation. The theater cannot to stay aside. Today our theatrical “scenogrammy” sounds different. All our works are united by a cross-cutting theme: Conflict between political and social circumstances against the person. At all times an iron hand of power suppressed the rights and freedoms of personality, divided people on different sides of the barricades. But once the barricades will fall and everyone will be left alone with his conscience. In our works, we declare the victory of humanism over cruelty. It does not matter what political views and life preferences you are, what God you believe in or not. The main thing is to remain human: kind, decent, honest and fair with ourselves and others.
